With the Los Angeles Rams‘ Week 5 contest against the Buffalo Bills set to take place on Monday night, it’s time for some fantasy football start or sit advice for Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, wide receiver Davante Adams and tight end Tyler Higbee.
Stafford is coming off a game in which he threw for 317 yards but didn’t throw a touchdown and tossed a pair of picks. The veteran signal-caller has now been picked off at least once in each game this season.
Adams didn’t have a good game, either, as he reeled in four catches for just 32 yards. Higbee, on the other hand, had a strong showing with five catches for 67 yards.
With kickoff almost here, let’s take a look at what we’re doing with Stafford, Higbee and Adams in fantasy football lineups in Week 5.

Matthew Stafford start or sit advice
It has been a disappointing start to the season for Stafford, who entered Week 5 ranked as QB15 overall, according to Fantasy Pros.
That’s a far cry from where he was last season, when Stafford ranked as QB3 overall, and the aformentioned ranking leaves Stafford as a fringe starter in 12-team leagues.
This matchup against the Bills presents a bounce-back opportunity for Stafford, as Buffalo is tied for the fifth-most fantasy points per game allowed to quarterbacks this season.

We also know the Bills sport an elite offense, so this game has the potential to be a shootout with a ton of passing and scoring.
Start Stafford with confidence on Monday night.
Verdict: Start
Davante Adams start or sit advice

Adams has one monster performance and one solid performance sandwiched in between two bad ones, so his WR7 ranking entering Week 5 is mostly on the strength of that 35.5-point showing in Week 2.
There’s a good chance Adams will bounce back after a down game in Week 4, though, as the Bills are tied for the most fantasy points per contest given up to wideouts.
We’re expecting a shootout on Monday night, so there should be plenty of room for Adams to eat, even with Puka Nacua in the lineup.

Tyler Higbee start or sit advice

After a quiet start to the season, Higbee has come on strong the last two weeks with a combined total of 31.9 fantasy points in that span, good enough for TE5 overall.
At a shallow position, back-to-back weeks like that immediately put a tight end on the starting map in fantasy football.
This matchup isn’t scary, either, as the Bills are surrendering the 14th-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends, which makes them a middle-of-the-road unit against the position.
In a potential shootout situation, Higbee is even more of a viable starter in Week 5.
Verdict: Start
