A stylish dog from Edinburgh who has amassed millions of views online has been featured in Vogue.
Samantha the Afghan hound has built up followings on Instagram and TikTok accounts run by owner Bethany Plevri after she started sharing snaps of her latest looks.
Bethany began sharing photos of the pooch in which she tried to capture her “lady of leisure” character.
What started as playing dress up eventually landed Samantha in the pages of Vogue after Chloe Malle, the magazine’s head of editorial content, reached out.

She said: “I guess when she was a puppy I was just like everybody else, where you want to take sweet photos and share them with your friends and create that social media account that I think a lot of pet owners do.
“Before I knew it I was popping scarves on her, taking her out for coffee, and little things like that.
“And then, of course, the rest is history.”
Bethany said Samantha’s “demure” online persona is a “shock” to her family, who are used to seeing her run around the house “winding people up”.

With her popularity growing online, Samantha often gets stopped by fans in the streets of Edinburgh.
“I think that’s why people love her – she’s a character, she’s not just a dog”, Bethany said.
“And the dog that people bump into the street or see running in the park is very different from the dog behind the camera, where you have Samantha the person who is a lady that lunches and gets dressed up with fine silks.
“She’s definitely a character in that sense that people can relate to.”
