The awards also received their highest ever number of entries across the four ‘Tech for Good’ categories, Technology Ireland said.
Technology Ireland, the Ibec group representing the country’s technology sector, has announced a shortlist of finalists for its annual industry awards.
The competition, which recognises high-growth start-ups, as well as established names in the sector, saw a “record number of entries” this year, the group said. This time around, the contest unveiled a new ‘AI Innovation of the Year’ category, created after strong representation of the tech across submissions.
The awards also received their highest ever number of entries across the four ‘Tech for Good’ categories, which span product, service, community benefit and sustainability.
A number of companies, including retail technology company VisionR, Dublin fleet safety tech provider CameraMatics, Limerick AI start-up Wrxflo and Klearcom have been nominated under multiple categories.
Klearcom, earlier this year, also made it onto Deloitte’s list of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for 2025.
“We have seen a remarkable influx of AI companies and cutting-edge innovations right across our submissions, alongside a record-breaking commitment to social impact through our Tech for Good categories,” commented Una Fitzpatrick, the director of Technology Ireland.
Shortlisted entries will advance to the final judging round overseen by an independent panel of industry experts. Winners will be announced on 20 November.
“As technology continues to transform every industry, Ireland’s tech sector remains at the forefront of innovation, powered by exceptional talent, entrepreneurial ambition and a willingness to embrace change,” said Marie Treacy, a partner at EY Ireland, one of the event’s key sponsors.
