Big Brother host Will Best has revealed the birth of his first child, a baby boy, in a heartfelt social media post.
The media personality, 41, is currently competing on the hit BBC competition series Strictly Come Dancing. He revealed he was expecting his first child with partner Tobi Rose ahead of the show’s debut last month.
Now, through a sweet new video and series of photos, he has announced that the wee tot is here.
In the clip from the hospital, the new dad said: ‘I got this really cool new thing today. Lots of people get’em but they are pretty cool.’
He then panned down to a sleeping baby in his arms as he beamed to the camera in disbelief. He then shared various photos of the baby with mum Rosie, in his cot, in his carrier and a final video of Will himself falling asleep from sheer exhaustion.
In the caption, he wrote: ‘Well who do we have here then?!
‘Welcome to the world Sonny Best, you little smasher. Tobi Rose, you’re a miracle and I love you so much. A couple of tired new parents (see last slide) but oh my goodness aren’t we lucky xxx’
As for what this will mean for him returning to Strictly, partner Tobi seems to have cleared that up with her cheeky comment.
She wrote: ‘What’s worse Will Best, a new born baby and no sleep, learning the jive on no sleep OR learning the jive at the same time as having a new born baby AND no sleep?’
Meanwhile, congratulations have flocked in from friends and fans.
‘Yay, I’m so happy for you and Tobi and Bowie is so excited to meet little Sonny,’ his Strictly pro-partner Dianne Buswell, who welcomed her own baby with Joe Sugg last year, wrote.
‘Holy moly!!!! Congratulations mate!,’ Strictly host Josh Widdicombe commented.
‘Welcome Sonny, congratulations to you all,’ Zoe Ball celebrated.
‘Awww yay!!! Welcome Sonny Best! So excited for you! Congratulations to you and Tobi. Hope you’re all doing well. Go and smash it on that ballroom floor for your little family!’ Fleur East declared.
‘Congratulations boyo,’ Tyler West praised.
‘Omggggggggggggggg congratulations,’ Oti Mabuse added.
No doubt there will be plenty more celebrations when he’s back live on the dancefloor this Saturday.
