Meloni says reference to ETS in summit conclusions is a positive step

(ANSA) - ROME, 16 OTT - Premier Giorgia Meloni said Friday a reference to the ETS in the conclusions of the EU summit was a positive step. "I am pleased that the European Council conclusions incorporate several issues we had raised in recent weeks—including those outlined in a document we co-authored with the Czech Republic—regarding the ETS. Specifically, there is a reference to the Market Stability Reserve, the ETS2, the need to assess timelines and safeguards for the ETS2, and the revision of the ETS, which is a particularly urgent matter," said Meloni following the European Council meeting in Brussels.
