Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has thanked United States President Donald Trump for his “extraordinary endorsement,” praising his leadership and reaffirming their shared commitment to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Netanyahu made the remarks in a video posted on his official X account after Trump publicly endorsed him ahead of Israel’s October 27 parliamentary election. Trump described Netanyahu as a “Great Warrior Prime Minister” and gave him his “complete and total endorsement.”
“President Trump, my dear friend Donald, I’m so honored and humbled by your extraordinary endorsement,” Netanyahu said.
He described Trump as a strong ally of Israel, saying the United States had been fortunate to have a leader who demonstrates conviction, clarity and courage in confronting what he called a threat posed by Iran.
“I could say, and that’s easy, there’s never been a greater friend of Israel in the White House. That’s an understatement, not by the longest shot,” he said.
Netanyahu accused Iran’s leadership of seeking nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them to American cities, arguing that the threat affected both Israel and the United States.

“But I think America has been fortunate to have a leader of conviction, of clarity, of courage, who faces down this threat to America and to Israel. Those who chant death to Israel, death to America. This vile, murderous dictatorship in Tehran that wants to acquire nuclear weapons and the means to deliver it to every American city,” he said.
The Israeli prime minister praised Trump for maintaining his position despite domestic criticism, saying the US president remained focused on eliminating the threat posed by Iran.
“You understand that. And you’re not set back by internal criticism. You’re focused, laser focused on the task of removing this threat from this current generation of Americans, from all future generations,” Netanyahu said.
He also linked the confrontation with Iran to the cost of fuel in the United States, telling Americans concerned about high petrol prices to consider the potential consequences of Iran acquiring nuclear weapons.
“Let me say to the American people, if you’re worried about today’s gas prices, think of what will happen if Iran gets nuclear weapons, something that Donald Trump and I will never allow,” he said.
Netanyahu predicted that fuel prices would fall once the threat from Iran’s government disappeared, while criticising those who favour accommodating Tehran.
“And when that happens, when that threat of that regime disappears, gas prices will go down,” he said.
He added: “But only under Trump. It’s not going to happen with those who want to accommodate and appease these tyrants, these butchers.”
Trump’s endorsement comes as Netanyahu faces a parliamentary election scheduled for October 27. The US president’s backing represents a significant public show of support for the Israeli leader as he seeks another term in office.
The two leaders have worked closely on policy towards Iran, although their relationship has also faced disagreements over regional strategy. The conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran has contributed to instability in the Middle East and affected global energy markets.
Concluding his message, Netanyahu thanked Trump for his support and leadership, describing him as a friend of Israel and the Jewish people.
“And I have to say that the world has been fortunate. America has been fortunate. America’s allies have been fortunate. Israel has been fortunate. And the Jewish people have been fortunate to have a leader of such clarity, consistency, conviction, and courage as Donald J. Trump,” he said.
“Donald, thank you. Thank you for your enduring support. Thank you for your unbelievable leadership. Thank you, friend.”
