At the Berlin Global Dialogue, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal outlined India’s approach to global trade, saying the country believes in building friendships and commercial partnerships across the world rather than choosing between the United States and Europe. Goyal highlighted India’s free trade agreements and ongoing negotiations, presenting a vision of expanding market access for Indian businesses and building resilient supply chains. He cited a potential combined GDP of $85 trillion across existing and prospective trade partners, arguing that India’s “third path” is based on trusted partnerships, collaboration and competitiveness. His remarks also touched on India’s trade agreements with the UK and EFTA and the announced India-EU trade deal.
