The North Carolina Tar Heels are playing a winning brand of football right now, striking belief right back into the hears of their once-disappointed fanbase.
UNC (4-2, 2-1 ACC) won via a fourth-quarter comeback for the second-straight week, this time with a 24-20 win at archival Duke. On October 10, North Carolina marched into Acrisure Stadium and upset then-25th-ranked Pitt, 21-17.
The Tar Heels make their long-awaited return to Kenan Stadium this coming weekend, hosting Syracuse under the Kenan Stadium lights. On Halloween night, the entire college football world will have its eyes on Chapel Hill again.
Announced earlier Monday, UNC will be hosting top-ranked Miami (FL) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 31. This game will be played on either ABC or ESPN, putting North Carolina and college football's best team in primetime, showcasing Kenan Stadium in front of a national audience.
Tar Heel Nation wasn't too happy about four consecutive 12 p.m. games to open 2026, a streak which broke with Saturday's 3:30 p.m. kickoff at Duke (4-2, 1-2 ACC). UNC will host last-place Syracuse (2-4, 0-2 ACC) at 7:30 p.m., a kickoff time many see as rewarding for playing good football.

The undefeated Hurricanes (6-0, 4-0 ACC) look every bit of a National Championship favorite, sporting both a top-ranked offense and defense. Quarterbacking Miami is former Blue Devil Darian Mensah, who has over 1,750 passing yards and 18 touchdown passes.
Despite the Hurricanes' dominance, North Carolina has their number, winning each of the past five matchups. The Tar Heels won in Chapel Hill three seasons ago, 41-31, last losing to Miami at home in 2017.
Halloween night. The country's top-ranked team. Chapel Hill is the place to be on October 31 and if you can't be there, watch on TV.
