Dylan Dreyer opened up about the biggest parenting moment she regretted and how she made it right. The Today Show host recalled an argument she had with one of her sons on the latest episode of her podcast, The Parent Chat.
The meteorologist recalled a moment she felt she overreacted with one of her kids and how she apologized and fixed the situation. "I remember this one time I heard the shower running. I come out and it's like 20 minutes later and the shower's still running and the hot water is steaming up the bathroom. That kid was sitting on the toilet, and I was like, 'You haven't taken a shower yet?' And he's like, 'No,'" she said.
"You're letting the hot water run, like get a clue. Come on, man, like, what? Water's expensive, you know? I just lost it for such a silly thing. And I remember walking away and I'm like, what is wrong with me?"

Dylan continued: "I just felt really disappointed in myself that I had this conversation and I just said, 'I was really tired. It was the end of the long day. I thought you were in the shower and just about to be done. And I walk into the bathroom and I find out you haven't even gotten into the shower yet. And I'm sorry, that was not the right reaction. And I feel terrible about it and I just hope you can forgive me and I'm going to do better.' And the way he accepted that apology with like, a hug, and then it's ok. You're doing the best you can. It ended up being a heartfelt moment."

The NBC star issued a statement via Instagram that shared the news she had split with her husband. "For many years, I have shared my family with you all — the highs and lows, the ups and downs, and all of the blessings and beautiful memories in between," wrote Dylan, with the words superimposed onto a picture of a sunset over a dock. "I am incredibly grateful for the support and love you've given me through it all. For that reason, I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate. We began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends. Most importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another," she added, before concluding: "Thank you as always for your support."
