DILI, 17 October 2026 (TATOLI) — Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), an international peace organization, hosted the online 2026 International Youth Peace Conference – Global Youth Leaders Taking Action for Peace and Human Rights on October 10 at 10:00 PM KST.
The global gathering, according to a press release to TATOLI, brought together young leaders from around the world to share their peacebuilding achievements over the past year, reflect on their practical roles in achieving peace, and explore actionable ways to advocate for human rights and conflict resolution in their respective local communities.
During the conference, HWPL introduced the 2026 achievements of its youth affiliate, the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG), alongside key outcomes from the HWPL International Youth Peace Program held in South Korea from September 17 to 19. Built around a three-stage framework –Discover-Learn-Act – the South Korea program brought together 100 youth leaders from 40 countries to explore the value of peace through cultural heritage immersion, lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities designed for local application.
Additionally, IPYG highlighted its expanding global reach, revealing active collaborations with 1,890 youth organizations across 133 countries, over 500 meetings hosted this year by the Youth Engagement & Peacebuilding Working Group (YEPW), and approximately 12,000 participants from 89 countries enrolled to date in the Youth Empowerment Peace Class (YEPC), a non-formal education program bridging global educational gaps.
Grassroots leaders speak out
Participants expressed strong motivation to translate these collective accomplishments into grassroots action within their home nations.
Salif Bouné, founder of the Association of Pupils and Students from the Commune of Diaye Couras in Mali, remarked, “Seeing these men of peace who have spent their entire careers traveling the world, meeting people in a voluntary manner, and speaking to them about peace, truly motivated us a lot.”
Emphasizing immediate impact, Siju Thomas Daniel, founder of the SCEAD Foundation India, added, “I want to bring change starting from this conference, with what I have learned, from today until next year. My aim is to get all the youngsters to come forward and talk about world peace.”
Unity through light and music
The event concluded with a symbolic unity performance where participants waved their hands and held up mobile phone lights to accompanying music, signifying a shared global vision for harmony.
Reflecting on the collective strength of youth leadership, the host concluded, “A single person’s voice may sometimes feel small. However, if those voices gather into 10, 100, and 1,000 voices, they can become a great force capable of creating meaningful change.” As global youth proactively expand their roles as agents of peace, HWPL expects these ongoing efforts to bear tangible fruit in communities worldwide.
