NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Arkansas football will be without its best offensive weapon for the second half of its road game against Vanderbilt.
Chris Marshall sustained a right leg injury during the first quarter. He briefly returned to action for the Razorbacks (2-4, 0-3 SEC), but he appeared re-aggravate the issue during a 28-yard screen pass on the final drive of the second period. It was a big play that set up a touchdown, and the score was tied 14-14 headed into halftime.
The ESPN broadcast reported that the wide receiver has been ruled out for the remainder of the night.
Marshall entered the night as Arkansas' leading receiver by a wide margin. In the first half, the screen pass was his only catch.
Arkansas will now lean on the likes of Antonio Jordan, Monte Harrison and Jamari Hawkins. Early in the third quarter, the Razorbacks held a 21-14 lead over the Commodores.
