Lazio remain interested in Leicester City teenager Lorenz Hutchinson, who is destined to leave the club by the end of the season.
Lorenz Hutchinson: Background & Leicester City Stats
The 18-year-old is a young striker who has been climbing his way up the ranks at the East Midlands club. This season, he was promoted from the under-18s to the under-21 team. Hutchinson has thus far made 10 appearances across all competitions since the start of the campaign, scoring two goals in the process.
Lazio Looking to Land Hutchinson on a Free Transfer
Last summer, the England U19 starlet was heavily linked with Lazio. However, the transfer never came to fruition, as the two clubs weren’t able to find an economic agreement. But according to Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the Italian capital side plans to launch a new onslaught next year, taking advantage of the player’s expiring contract.
Hutchinson will be a free agent come July, and as the source explains, Leicester have already given up on extending his contract.
What Plans Lazio Have in Store for Hutchinson
Lazio would be looking to hand the Englishman a hybrid role between the first team and the Primavera side, similar to the likes of Federico Serra, Adrian Przyborek, Bruno Galassi, and Valerio Farcomeni. The club could use another striker, as Andrea Pinamonti is considered the only natural No.9 at Formello, while the versatile Tijjani Noslin has been leading the line since the start of the season.
