Kwangdong Pharmaceutical (009290) has opened an art exhibition promoting environmental protection and resource circulation to mark the release of its first sustainability report.
The company said on the 22nd that it is holding the in-house exhibition "Unforgettable."
The show was organized in cooperation with Redboots Project Space, a nonprofit art collective. Built around the theme of what is easily forgotten, the exhibition reinterprets moments in nature, objects and relationships to convey the importance of environmental protection in daily life.
Jung Eun-jin, chair of Kwangdong Pharmaceutical's ESG committee and a longtime participant in Redboots Project Space, is taking part as an artist. Jung, a patent attorney at Kim & Chang who also works as a textile artist, is one of 10 artists presenting paintings, ceramics, textiles and installation works. The exhibition runs through the 30th on the first floor of the company's Gwacheon headquarters and is open to employees, Gwacheon residents and the general public.
The company has also arranged participation programs for employees, including "Artist Talk" sessions where artists explain their works and exchange views with visitors, and an "Upcycling One-Day Class" offering hands-on activities such as reusing eco bags.
"With the publication of our first sustainability report and the creation of the ESG committee, we planned this exhibition to broaden awareness of environmental and social value," an official at Kwangdong Pharmaceutical said. "We hope it becomes a time to reflect on the meaning of resource circulation in everyday life and to think together about a sustainable future."
