Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Thursday handed over a new ambulance to the Health and Family Welfare Department for use at Civil Hospital, Lunglei. The ambulance was provided under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Rays Power Infra Ltd., facilitated by the Chief Minister’s Charitable Trust.
Representatives of Rays Power Infra Ltd. first handed over the ambulance to the Chief Minister, who subsequently transferred it to officials of the Health and Family Welfare Department for use at the hospital.
Expressing gratitude to the company for its contribution, Lalduhoma noted that Mizoram receives comparatively low CSR funding among Indian states, despite the scope for undertaking several meaningful development initiatives with limited financial resources.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that more corporate organisations would extend support to Mizoram through their CSR activities. He also urged Rays Power Infra Ltd. to continue contributing to the state’s development in the future.
The ambulance was received by Lalnunmawii, Additional Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department, along with Dr. Lucy Ramhmingliani Renthlei.
Siddarth Sharma, North East Commercial and Finance Head, and Gordhan Sharma represented Rays Power Infra Ltd. Representatives of the Chief Minister’s Charitable Trust present at the occasion included CEO R. Lalrodingi, Secretary Raymond Lalmuana and member Lalrinawma Khiangte.
