Ex-leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Faisal Vawda has claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was being directed by PTI leader Murad Saeed from Afghanistan.
Speaking on ARY News program ‘Aiteraz Hai’, Faisal Vawda said he had received information that Murad Saeed was currently in Afghanistan.
Vawda also said he had predicted 10 months ago that an emergency and governor’s rule would be imposed in the country.
He further predicted that former Chief Minister of KP, Sohail Afridi, could be disqualified and that the PTI might face a ban.
Describing the emerging political arrangement as an effort to curb terrorism, Senator Vawda said the provincial government in Balochistan, whatever its shortcomings, was cooperating in the fight against militancy.
Criticizing the existing political system, he questioned whether it represented democracy for a small group of 500 elites. He argued that new people should be allowed to enter politics.
Vawda also accused the PTI of failing to abandon what he described as a mindset characterized by abusive language and arson.
Discussing the political situation in KP, Vawda said Governor Faisal Karim Kundi had 180 days to demonstrate progress and would be monitored during that period, adding that failure was not an option.
He said that if the advisory council succeeded within 180 days, the public would reject the existing political leadership in favor of alternatives.
