The United Kingdom has published a list of 82 countries and territories whose citizens can apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to visit Britain without obtaining a traditional visitor visa.
The scheme allows eligible travellers to visit the UK, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man for stays of up to six months, subject to the relevant entry requirements.
According to the published list, eligible nationalities include Greece, Cyprus, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, Japan and Singapore.
The list also includes several Gulf nations, such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
Greece and Cyprus Included on the List
Greek and Cypriot passport holders are among the nationalities eligible to apply for an ETA under the scheme.
Other European countries included are France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland’s European neighbours and numerous EU member states, alongside Switzerland, Norway and Iceland.
The list also covers countries across Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific.
Eligible travellers must obtain an ETA before travelling when required. An ETA is not a visa or a guarantee of entry, and travellers must still meet the UK’s immigration requirements.

The ETA system is designed to streamline pre-travel authorisation for eligible visitors while allowing UK authorities to conduct security checks before travellers arrive.
Travellers should confirm their eligibility and current requirements through the official UK government website before booking their trip.
