The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen said Houthi missiles targeted several cities on Tuesday, including Riyadh and Dhahran. Shrapnel from an interception also fell in a residential area of Dhahran.
Neither Saudi Aramco nor the Saudi energy ministry immediately responded to requests for comment, says World Oil.
The attack comes amid a broader wave of recent strikes targeting airports across Saudi Arabia that has killed at least 18 people and injured hundreds.
The latest missile launches followed warnings from the Saudi-led coalition advising people near an oil facility in the Houthi-held Yemeni capital of Sanaa to leave the area for their safety.
Saudi oil infrastructure has also faced repeated attacks as hostilities have escalated. A refinery in Jazan has remained shut since an earlier attack, while a key oil export port on the Red Sea coast has also been targeted.
Last month, Aramco's main cross-country pipeline, which transports oil for export to world markets, was temporarily shut down following an attack launched from Iraq.
Dhahran, on the Persian Gulf coast near Saudi Arabia's largest onshore and offshore oil fields, is a centre of the kingdom's oil industry. It is home to Aramco, a petroleum engineering university and a major air base.
