The largest lottery jackpot in Canadian history is set to be drawn Tuesday night.
Tuesday night’s Lotto Max jackpot stands at a staggering $85 million, a new record, CP24 reports. Last Friday night’s draw featured a jackpot of $80 million, but no ticket matched all seven winning numbers: 6, 10, 19, 25, 29, 39, 50 with the bonus number at 36.
Tonight’s draw will also feature 16 Maxmillions prizes worth $1 million each and 85 Maxplus prizes worth $100,000 each, according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).
If there’s no winner tonight, the top prize could go up once again to $90 million, Lotto Max said in April. But the prize has always been claimed before the cap has ever gotten so high.
The previous record stood at $80.4 million, which was split between two friends in London, Ont., last December.
What does $85M buy you in Toronto?
Toronto’s a pricey town to be sure, but it’s not a problem for you should you win the $85M Lotto Max jackpot. A whopping $85 million could get you several multi-million-dollar mansions in tony areas such as Hogg’s Hollow, Forest Hill, or The Bridle Path, to name some luxe neighbourhoods.
You might just want to scale down a bit with a 6,000-square foot condo at the Residences of the Ritz-Carlton on Wellington St. W. One features three bedrooms, five bathrooms, 11-foot ceilings, and a 1,000-bottle wine cellar — well within your means at $22.5 million.
Maybe you’d like to toodle around in a 2024 Pininfarina Battista from Grand Touring Automobiles on Dundas St. E. Don’t worry, at $3.5 million, it’s totally within your budget.
