Oofos is making some updates to its leadership team and board of directors.
The recovery footwear brand said this week that it has named Scott Schiffres as its new chief financial officer. He succeeds Tom George, who has served as Oofos’ interim CFO and will continue with the company as a member of its board of directors and audit committee.
Schiffres joins the company from Tea Forté, part of Keurig / JDE Peet’s, where he served as CFO and interim general manager. Previously, Schiffres held CFO and senior finance leadership roles at Heineken and served as CFO and COO of Unreal Candy. He began his career at Unilever.
“I’ve always been most energized working for brands that I believe in, and Oofos is a brand that resonates with me, as both an executive and a consumer,” Schiffres said in a statement. “I’m excited to join this team and help build on the opportunity ahead.”
As for George, he will continue on to work with Oofos on the board of directors, and brings more than 40 years of executive experience, including 34 years as a CFO and 27 years as a public company CFO.
George has held leadership roles across technology and consumer brands, including serving as CFO of Oakley, Deckers Brands, and Genesco where he gained significant experience in global brands, multi-channel growth and public company financial management.
Joining George on the Board is David Pace, a veteran consumer and sports industry executive with more than 35 years of experience. Pace spent almost two decades at Reebok, serving as senior vice president and general counsel and previously leading sports marketing. During his tenure, he played a key role in the development of Reebok’s global brand strategy and major initiatives including the company’s exclusive NFL and NBA licensing agreements, creation of its sports licensing business and merger with Adidas.
Following Reebok, Pace founded Pace Sports LLC, advising consumer brands and sports organizations, including Oofos, the NFL, Tommy Bahama and Ugg, on strategic initiatives spanning brand partnerships, acquisitions, licensing and business development.
Lou Panaccione, co-founder and co-chief executive officer of Oofos, said in a statement that Schiffres, George and Pace each bring a “unique perspective and depth of experience” that will strengthen the firm’s leadership team and board.
“Their expertise across consumer brands, finance, footwear, sports and business development will be incredibly valuable as we continue to build Oofos for the future while staying true to what makes our brand and product unique,” Panaccione noted.
Angel Martinez, who joined the company as co-CEO in October 2025, added that “drawing on the collective expertise” of Schiffres, George and Pace will help Oofos drive sustainable, long-term growth.
“As consumer interest in recovery, wellness and everyday comfort continues to grow, we see tremendous opportunity to introduce more people to Oofos and expand the role our products play in their lives,” Martinez said.
