Talks on forming new coalitions are underway around the country in the wake of the weekend municipal and Senate elections.
A coalition agreement for Prague City Hall should be finalised in November, Petr Hlaváček, the capital’s lead candidate for the Mayors and Independents (STAN), and Prague’s likely new mayor, told Czech Television.
Hlaváček said he had held a brief meeting on Sunday with Tomáš Portlík (Civic Democrats), the lead candidate of the SPOLU alliance. Formal talks are scheduled for Monday, after which Hlaváček will also meet representatives of Praha Sobě and the Pirates.
Portlík said on Sunday that as the winner of the municipal elections in the capital, the Mayors and Independents had the right to nominate the mayor.
