Timex has teamed up with eyewear brand Vontélle for a pair of quartz Marlin watches. The collection includes a $199 model with a blue chevron-patterned dial and a $329 limited-edition chronograph gift set with two interchangeable fabric straps.
Timex has officially announced its collaboration with Vontélle, adding two new watches to its Marlin line-up. The collection brings the eyewear brand's patterns and colours to the Marlin's 1960s-inspired design, with a leather-strap model accompanied by an individually numbered chronograph gift set.
The Vontélle x Timex Marlin TW2Y73800 features a blue dial with a chevron pattern, Arabic numerals at the quarter hours, and luminous hands and markers. A domed acrylic crystal covers the dial, while the polished stainless steel case measures 40 mm across and 13.5 mm thick. It comes with a matching blue leather strap with quick-release spring bars that fit the watch's 20 mm lugs.
Meanwhile, the Vontélle x Timex Marlin Quartz Chronograph Gift Set TWG069100 combines a black sunray dial with gold-tone details. Its chronograph tracks elapsed time, while a tachymeter scale allows users to calculate average speed over a known distance. The polished stainless steel case measures 40 mm in diameter, 13 mm thick and 48 mm from lug to lug, with an acrylic crystal protecting the dial.
The gift set includes two interchangeable 20 mm fabric straps. One carries a traditional mudcloth pattern, while the other features a Kente-inspired print. Timex describes the chronograph as a limited edition and individually numbers each watch, although it has not disclosed the production quantity.
Both watches use battery-powered quartz movements and offer 50 metres of water resistance. The blue-dial Marlin is available to order from Timex’s US store for $199. The chronograph gift set costs $329 and is currently listed for pre-order, with no shipping date specified.
