MOSCOW, October 22. /TASS/. At this point, Abu Dhabi is considered the main platform for trilateral talks between Russia, the United States and Ukraine, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
In a comment to Vesti journalist Pavel Zarubin, the spokesman said Vladimir Zelensky can hardly redeem himself for Ukraine’s current neo-Nazi policies even by invoking memories of his grandfather fighting against Nazi Germany in World War Two.
Below are the Kremlin spokesman’s key remarks.
Abu Dhabi is now being considered as a venue for trilateral talks between Russia, the United States and Ukraine: "At this point, we are talking about Abu Dhabi."
"Wait, you are getting ahead of yourself, do not do that," the Kremlin spokesman said, when asked to comment on whether Russia’s negotiating team was preparing any written documents or proposals.
Neo-Nazi ideology in Ukraine and Zelensky’s attempt to redeem himself
Zelensky’s recollection of his grandfather, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, strangely coincided with the worsening of Polish-Ukrainian relations triggered by Kiev’s neo-Nazi policies and the halting of arms deliveries: "It coincided with the climax of the scandal between Poland and Ukraine. The city council of Lvov passed a resolution declaring this to be the year devoted to an infamous Nazi military unit."
"This is what triggered the scandal. It was hushed up somehow, but Poland has already halted weapons deliveries in protest against Nazi manifestations. Simply highlighting this contrast will be a sufficient comment on Zelensky’s remarks."
Zelensky is trying to redeem himself through this recollection: "Since we are constantly speaking about neo-Nazi manifestations in Ukraine and the need to eradicate them, he is probably trying to ‘redeem’ himself in some way."
"But this is hardly possible in light of current events in Ukraine.".
