Konstantinos Karetsas has been ruled out of Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League trip to face Azerbaijani side Sabah FK on Tuesday, as well as Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Greek youngster suffered an injury against 1. FC Union Berlin at the weekend, which – on the bright side for BVB – is not as serious as initially feared.
“Kos has a ligament injury in his foot. He won’t be travelling to Baku and will also miss Saturday’s match against Frankfurt," Borussia Dortmund managing director for sport Lars Ricken said.
"That’s obviously frustrating, but initially, we feared something worse after seeing the reactions of his teammates.”
