BANGKOK — 12 October 2026, Thai immigration police have arrested a 42-year-old South Korean man wanted in his home country for allegedly operating an illegal pornography website that published sexual videos involving girls under 16.
The suspect, identified only as Lee, was found hiding in a luxury condominium in Bangkok’s Thonglor area, according to the Immigration Bureau.
The operation followed a request from the South Korean Embassy in Thailand, which asked Thai authorities to locate Lee after South Korean authorities issued an arrest warrant. Interpol subsequently issued a Red Notice to help track him down and facilitate his return to South Korea to face prosecution.

Investigators said Lee allegedly published large quantities of pornographic videos on an illegal website and also uploaded sexually explicit videos involving girls under 16.
He reportedly fled to Thailand in March 2026 after learning that he might face arrest.
After confirming that Lee was staying at the condominium, immigration authorities revoked his permission to remain in Thailand and took him into custody.
During questioning, Lee admitted that he had managed an illegal pornography website in South Korea, police said.
He was transferred to an Immigration Bureau detention facility pending procedures to return him to South Korea for further legal proceedings.
