North Korea’s trade with China reached nearly $300 million in September, marking the second-highest total this year and coming as the allies prepared to open their biggest cross-border bridge.
The two countries recorded $299 million in bilateral trade last month, up from $238 million in August, China’s General Administration of Customs (GAC) reported on Sunday.
The monthly figure is second this year only to the nearly $326 million recorded in April. It is among the top trade totals on record after the $310 million registered in Dec. 2025 and the $366 million posted in Nov. 2017.
