IPOH: Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) is eyeing two to three seats in the upcoming Melaka state election.
Its president, Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, said informal discussions among Perikatan Nasional (PN) component parties had begun ahead of the Nov 14 polls.
"We hope to reach an agreement with the other parties for Pejuang to field candidates.
"Two or three seats would be enough. If we get one or two, we are fine with that," he told reporters after officiating the Perak Pejuang Convention at Hotel Seri Malaysia today.
Mukhriz said Pejuang would campaign alongside its coalition partners.
"In Negeri Sembilan, we continued working with our PN partners even though we did not contest. We hope the same cooperation will continue in Melaka," he said.
Pejuang did not field any candidates in the August Negeri Sembilan state election.
