Micheal Olise from the left cuts inside to feed a lovely through pass to Ismael Saibari whose first touch lets him down. Harry Kane’s effort from outside the box saved by the keeper.
It did not take long for Bayern to take the lead. Joshua Kimmich delivered a magnificent through ball in the path of Luis Diaz, who made no mistake in one-v-one situation.
A terrible mistake at the back from Leipzig nearly resulted in goal for Bayern, but Dayot Upamecano could not steer home from close range.
Kane picked up the ball so deep from Urbig and launched a superb 40 yard pass to Diaz. The Colombian rolled the ball in the path of onrushing Aleksandar Pavlovic, who finished smartly with his left foot.
Olise nearly made it three for Bayern after he produced a mazy run, dribbling past defenders with ease, but his right-footed effort from close range hits the post.
The Frenchman did not take long to open his account. From the right hand side, he passed it to Kane, who found him again with a deft pass with left foot just outside the box. Olise bundles in with his left foot, leaving the goalkeeper no chance of saving that.
Just after the break, Luis Diaz score yet again. Kane once again took the creative role and played the ball in the path of Diaz with his left-foot. Diaz cuts inside and placed the ball to the bottom right corner.
Harry Kane in his 100th Bundesliga appearances found the net next. Another intelligent movement resulted in Nathaniel Brown squaring off an easy pass for Kane to toe poke in from close range.
Bayern kept on creating chances, and Tom Bischof had an effort from distance saved by the keeper. Moments later, Luis Diaz cuts inside from the right and placed the ball in the bottom corner to complete his hat-trick.
On another day, Bayern could have easily scored 10 or more. Olise missed a sitter from two yards out after Stanisic found him in the box from the right.
In the dying minutes of the match, Andrija Maksimovic scored for the home side with a thunderous strike, a mere consolation.
