One of college football's most iconic venues is set to host a different sport in the summer of 2027.
The Savanah Bananas will be bringing its unique style of baseball to Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday, June 26, 2027, the organization announced on Thursday night.
Not only will they be bringing the traveling league and its six teams, but they will be debuting a new “360” version of the game. Two fields will be set up inside the stadium, with action alternating between the two, per a social media post.
“It’s Banana Ball like you’ve never seen it before… 1 stadium, 1 game… 2 fields,” the organization wrote in a social media post. “Banana Ball 360 brings the action to all 80,000 fans in South Bend. The field of play will alternate between two fields within Notre Dame Stadium to ensure that fans get the best seat in the house no matter where they sit.”
What started as just the Savanah Bananas has grown into “Banana Ball,” a six-team, world-traveling baseball league. Often compared to the Harlem Globetrotters in basketball, Banana Ball is as much about baseball as it is about entertainment. There are choreographed dance breaks, live music and more in a family-friendly environment.
Per another Facebook post from the company, Banana Ball was played in front of 4.3 million fans in 2026, visiting 23 MLB stadiums, 10 football stadiums and 73 cities total.
Ticket information for the visit to Notre Dame Stadium will be announced at a later date.

Notre Dame Stadium has opened its doors to more events beyond Notre Dame football games in the last decade. Multiple concerts have been held, including Luke Combs and AC/DC in 2026. An international soccer match featuring Liverpool was held in the summer of 2019, and the NHL's Winter Classic featured the Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins on New Years Day 2019.
