The International Crimes Tribunal-2 has given investigators until 5 January to submit a report on journalists Shyamal Dutta, Mozammel Babu and Farzana Rupa in a crimes against humanity case over provocative statements made in the media during the July Uprising.
The tribunal passed the order today (25 October).
On 24 August, the tribunal ordered the three journalists to be shown arrested and sent to jail in connection with the case.
Earlier, on 17 August, the tribunal had ordered their production before it following an application by the prosecution. They were subsequently produced before the tribunal on 24 August.
Farzana Rupa and Mozammel Babu are currently in jail after being shown arrested in the Shapla Chattar killings case on the tribunal's orders.
Shyamal Dutta, meanwhile, is being held in jail in connection with a case related to the July Uprising following an order by a lower court.
