At the invitation of the Minister in-charge of Energy and Science & Technology of Singapore, H.E. Dr. Tan See Leng, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, will participate in the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) 2026, on 26 October 2026. Under the theme “Connecting Energy Systems, Powering Tomorrow,” the SIEW 2026 will bring together policymakers, industry leaders and international organisations to discuss energy security, regional connectivity and sustainable energy development. During the visit, Dr. Kao will deliver a keynote address at the SIEW Summit, highlighting ASEAN’s priorities in strengthening energy resilience, advancing the ASEAN Power Grid and mobilising investment to meet the region’s growing energy needs. His participation will underscore the importance of ASEAN-led cooperation and partnerships in securing reliable, affordable and sustainable energy to support the region’s long-term competitiveness and shared prosperity. He will also take the opportunity to convene bilateral meetings with representatives from the public and private sectors, and engage in interviews with media and news agencies.
