Week 7 in the Big Ten will be a time for the best players in the conference to shine. Jeremiah Smith is aiming to boost Heisman Trophy campaign. At least one Indiana Hoosier receiver will step up to the plate to match Smith in the Big Ten's game of the week.
Here are the players to watch in Week 7 of Big Ten football:
Demond Williams will finally play to his standard
It has been a disappointing game after disappointing game for Demond Williams this season. Teams this season against the Purdue Boilermakers have had great success. This will be Demond WIlliams get right game. Demond Williams will lead the Washington Huskies past Purdue with 300 yards passing and 3 touchdowns.
Jeremiah Smith's domiance will continue
The Ohio State Buckeyes are facing a much tougher opponent this week. That will not stop Jeremiah Smith from adding to his Heisman campaign. Smith will not post 200 yards against the Hoosiers. He will, however, have 100+ yards and multiple touchdowns. I can see him catching the game-winning touchdown in this game as well. Jeremiah Smith will be the deciding factor in this game, as he usually is.
Wayne Knight will lead UCLA past Wisconsin
No, Nico Iamaleava, but it won't matter for the UCLA Bruins. Bob Chesney will lean on domiant running back Wayne Knight. Knight has had 3 straight 100-yard rushing performances, and he will make it a 4th to help UCLA secure another victory. He is becoming the heartbeat of this offense. With him continuing to shine, the Bruins' success will not stop anytime soon.
Aidan Chiles revenge game
Aidan Chiles is playing extremely well. As a result, the Northwestern Wildcats are sitting at 4-1. In Week 7, Chiles gets a chance to set the score against his former team. With the Michigan State Spartans, it was nothing but struggles for Chiles. This week, Chiles will show up his former team by throwing for 3 touchdowns and 250+ yards. This game will reveal how much a chance scenario matters. Michigan State's new quarterback Alessio Milivojevic will play well, but he will still get massively outplayed by Chiles.
Underrated performer of the week - Andrew Marsh
In regard to the receiver position in the game between Ohio State and the Indiana Hoosiers, all eyes will be on Jeremiah Smith. One player getting overlooked in this game is Nick Marsh. Charlie Becker is the Hoosiers receiver who draws the most attention. However, Nick Marsh last week just had 187 yards and 2 touchdowns against Nebraska. For the Hoosiers to have success against a talented Buckeyes defense, Nick Marsh will need to step up. I think he will put up another 150+ receiving-yard performance. Josh Hoover will look to him the most. Marsh will show he is an elite Big Ten receiver in Week 7.
