Prague’s Žluté lázně has opened a new edition of the Story of Lights, a seasonal light park inspired by the city’s medieval history.
Running from October 16, 2026, to January 31, 2027, the event features illuminated sculptures, interactive installations and, from November, evening boat trips on the Vltava River.

The park takes visitors back to 14th-century Prague during the reign of Charles IV, the Bohemian king and Holy Roman Emperor whose rule helped shape the city’s development.
Thousands of LED lights illuminate the grounds after dark, forming a route through displays inspired by the architecture, symbols and history of medieval Prague.
Among the installations are illuminated representations of Charles Bridge, Gothic towers, church arches, royal crowns and coronation regalia. The displays reinterpret historical motifs using modern lighting technology.
Some installations are interactive, with the organizers targeting families with children as well as adults looking for an evening activity outdoors.

The historical theme focuses on a period when Prague underwent major urban development.
Charles IV initiated the construction of Charles Bridge, founded the New Town in 1348 and helped establish Prague as an important political, cultural and religious centre in medieval Europe.

From November 6, visitors will also be able to combine their visit with an illuminated boat trip along the Vltava. The evening cruises are scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
