A significant offering period, long awaited by investors at Aptos, has come to an end. The four-year vesting schedule, which began with the network’s mainnet launch on October 12, 2022, and covered the initial investors and core developers, has concluded.
According to Aptos’ official token economics statement, the completion of this schedule will result in approximately a 60% reduction in the annualized key-opening amount. This will eliminate the new supply flow stemming from the regular key-openings of the two large groups in the initial distribution.

This development creates the expectation that potential selling pressure may decrease for APT investors. However, it is still possible for holders of unlocked tokens to sell them later. The end of the deadline does not mean that these investors cannot sell their assets.
Furthermore, distributions from community and foundation allocations and staking rewards will continue. Therefore, Aptos’ new supply creation will not completely stop.
APT’s price has experienced a significant 37% increase in the last month.
