(ANSA) - ROMA, 13 OTT - The second international exchange of the Evolve project—“Educational Vision through Observational Leadership, Values and Engagement, is currently underway in Stockholm through October 17, with the support of the Italian Embassy. The project is promoted by the Provincial Institute for Educational Research and Experimentation (Iprase) and funded under the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) 2021–2027 of the Autonomous Province of Trento. The program includes meetings with Swedish institutions and a discussion on educational policies to explore international experiences in school leadership, innovation, and the improvement of education systems. Following a visit to Finland in October 2025, Sweden is now hosting the group of Trentino school administrators engaged in this professional development and international exchange program. The first part of the mission was also attended by an institutional delegation from the Autonomous Province of Trento, led by Francesca Gerosa, Councilor for Education and Culture, and composed of top officials from the provincial school administration and Iprase, including Francesca Mussino, General Director of the Department of Education and Culture; Giuseppe Rizza, Superintendent of Schools; Angelo Paletta, Chair of Iprase’s Technical-Scientific Committee; and Luciano Covi, Director General of the Institute.
“Through Evolve, we offer our school leaders concrete opportunities for observation and exchange, recognizing that learning about other experiences also means acquiring new tools to enhance and develop the unique characteristics of our educational system,” stated Councilor Gerosa.
During the meeting with Skolverket, the National Agency for Education, the delegation explored the organization of the school system, ongoing reforms, and national policies for educational quality. The delegation was also welcomed by the Italian Ambassador to Sweden, Michele Pala.
“Missions such as this one from the Autonomous Province of Trento are particularly welcome and have the full support of the embassy because they foster mutual understanding and learning between Italy and Sweden, allowing for the establishment of relationships from which fruitful collaborations can then blossom in a crucial sector such as schooling and education,” the ambassador concluded.
