MLA Pinaki Das Choudhury distributes new clothes to women ahead of Durga Puja

Ahead of the Durga Puja celebrations, a clothing distribution programme was organised in the 27-Kalyanpur Pramodnagar Assembly constituency to share the festive spirit with women from the local community. The initiative was jointly undertaken by Abhinandan Shakti Kendra and Bharat Mata Shakti Kendra.

Local MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury attended the programme and distributed new garments among mothers and women from the area. Organisers said the objective was to ensure that the joy of the festival reaches every section of society and to promote the values of compassion, social harmony and community participation.

Beneficiaries welcomed the initiative, which enabled them to celebrate the upcoming festival with greater enthusiasm. Speakers at the programme emphasised that the true spirit of Durga Puja lies not only in celebrations and decorations but also in standing beside those in need and sharing happiness with others.

The organisers expressed hope that such initiatives would strengthen social bonding and make the festive season more inclusive and meaningful for all.
