Vivo’s upcoming X500 Ultra could reach markets outside China, according to new IMEI database listings. The global variant has appeared in Türkiye with the model number V2660. A separate listing also mentions the Jovi X500 Ultra, carrying model number J2613.
Jovi is the brand Vivo uses for its smartphones in Brazil. Therefore, the listings suggest that the X500 Ultra could also launch in the Brazilian market. However, Vivo has yet to confirm its international launch plans.
The phone is expected to debut in China in March or April next year. Its predecessor, the vivo X300 Ultra, was the company’s first Ultra model to receive a global launch. It debuted in China on March 30, followed by a global rollout in April. The device later arrived in Brazil as the Jovi X300 Ultra in August.
Vivo X500 Ultra Expected Specifications
Recent leaks have revealed several details about the vivo X500 Ultra’s hardware. The phone is reportedly expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. It may also feature a flat 6.85-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display supplied by BOE, with a 144Hz refresh rate and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
The camera system could also receive significant upgrades. An engineering sample is reportedly testing a larger 1/1.2-inch sensor for its 200MP periscope telephoto camera. That would be an upgrade over the 1/1.4-inch sensor used in the X300 Ultra.
Meanwhile, the 35mm main camera could switch to a 50MP sensor with improved stabilization. The battery is also rumored to offer between 7,000 mAh and 8,000 mAh. For comparison, the X300 Ultra has a 6,600 mAh battery.
Vivo has not announced an exact release date for the global model. However, the X300 Ultra’s launch timeline suggests that international availability could follow the Chinese debut within a few months. The company has yet to confirm the reported specifications or regional launch plans.
