The Bermuda Volleyball Association [BVA] announced that defender Natalie Gazzard and blocker Megan Hands will represent Bermuda at the NORCECA U23 Beach Continental Tour stop in San Salvador, El Salvador, from October 16–18, 2026.
A spokesperson said, “The pair hopes to build on a successful partnership this season, which included representing Bermuda at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games in the Dominican Republic. The pair finished 12th at that event, marking Bermuda’s highest finish in beach volleyball at the CAC Games. They also competed together at the NORCECA Beach Tour stop in Honduras in July 2026, gaining further experience against continental opposition.
“Both Gazzard and Hands have been training at their respective universities in Canada and will meet up to travel to the tournament together. Returning to the sand as a team, they will look to build on the experience and teamwork developed throughout their 2026 international campaign.
“The NORCECA U23 Beach Volleyball Tour provides an important opportunity for emerging athletes to gain international experience and further develop their beach volleyball skills. For Gazzard and Hands, the tournament offers an opportunity to represent Bermuda while balancing their university studies and training commitments.
“The BVA wishes Natalie and Megan every success in El Salvador and encourages the community to follow their progress throughout the competition.
