Well, here we go again. It’s another primetime game featuring what on the surface appears to be a very lopsided matchup between a pair of NFC opponents. The NFC has been a popular conference for primetime play early in the 2026 NFL season. I suppose that makes sense with the big-market teams in the NFC East, since most people know well how most of that division turtle late in the season.
Yes, we have the Washington Commanders in action tonight, out on the West Coast to battle against the San Francisco 49ers for Week 6 of Monday Night Football. Why should Buffalo Bills fans care if there aren’t any rooting interests? Well, it’s football! That and Stefon Diggs now plays football for Washington, if such things matter to you.
Quarterback Jayden Daniels returned to action last weekend following yet another gruesome dislocated elbow injury. It was a game no one will soon forget, infamous for the way Washington mismanaged the final moments of overtime en route to a tie against the New York Giants. Still, Daniels gives the Commanders their best shot at taking down the undefeated Niners — but it’s not going to be easy.
Despite yet another season marred by injuries rosterwide, San Francisco is playing as well as anyone, finding ways to win regardless of the situations. This one could get ugly quick if the Commanders aren’t ready for primetime.
With that, here’s your open thread for all of tonight’s action during Monday Night Football. As always, be kind to one another — and in all things… Go Bills!
