Nigerian startups Solarcorp, Bravoo and Zendtrax have been selected for the 14th cohort of MARL’s global accelerator programme, with each receiving US$50,000 in funding.
MARL is a US-based early-stage venture capital firm that runs an accelerator programme for tech startups around the world. Alongside funds, it gives founders hands-on help with product development, business strategy and fundraising, and connects them with its network of mentors and investors.
Three Nigerian startups have been selected for the 14th cohort. They are Solarcorp, a climate-tech company replacing diesel generators in malls and commercial clusters with shared solar-and-storage systems; Bravoo, which is building a consumer platform built around rewards and gamified experiences; and Zendtrax, which offers enterprise software for procurement, inventory and supply-chain management.
“At MARL, we believe great technology companies can emerge from anywhere. The selection of Solarcorp, Bravoo and Zendtrax into our 14th global cohort reflects the quality of innovation we’re seeing from African founders,” said Prakash Goswami, managing partner at MARL.
MARL’s vohort 14 Demo Day takes place on November 12.
