The Duchess of Edinburgh looked undoubtedly chic on Tuesday afternoon as she joined King Charles and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle to formally welcome Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman to the UK for the state visit.
The blonde royal chose a new dress for the occasion, created by the high-end designer loved by the royal family, Roland Mouret.

The 61-year-old wore the 'Bow-detail wool crêpe cocktail dress', which has a price tag of £895 and comes with a built-in bow sewn at the neckline. The structured style had an enduring, classic appeal with its wool texture and soft draping at the hem.

Meghan Markle and Roland Mouret's 'argument'
Roland Mouret has hit headlines of late, after publicly discussing the breakdown of his friendship with the Duchess of Sussex. Relaying an argument the pair allegedly had in his new memoir, I Am Roland Mouret: The butcher's boy who dressed the world, the designer reveals a supposed mishap took place between them.
He claims that one of his members of staff contacted the Princess of Wales' team at Kensington Palace to ask for some items of clothing back, instead of Meghan's team directly. Catherine has been wearing Roland Mouret designs since 2013.

Describing his version of events, the designer wrote: "Meghan and Harry's relationship became public. Then the same team member who had sent the clothes for Meghan decided, in an honest attempt to be efficient, to call Kate's stylist at the palace and ask for Meghan's dresses to be returned. Meghan was furious and called me."

Roland alleges that he said to Prince Harry's wife: "Meghan, it was just a mistake by someone who didn't know. My apologies. I know it's not good for you and you want to do things privately."
The mother-of-two allegedly replied: "You know now I can never wear your clothes again."
Roland also said in the book he believed that Meghan went on to wear a copy of one of his designs publicly. "The following year, I saw a photo of her out in a cheap high street copy of one of my designs. I messaged her: 'I can understand if you don't wear my stuff, but if it's to wear a cheap copy then that's ridiculous. Come back.'"
He claims Meghan responded: "I think I should come and see you."
