MANHATTAN — The Big 12 released the first availability report ahead of the 2026 Sunflower Showdown.
Kansas State and Kansas will meet at Bill Snyder Family Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m. CT. The game will air on FS1.
The Wildcats enter the game mostly healthy. Starting cornerback Kaleb Patterson is listed as doubtful, which should open up more reps for Donovan McIntosh after he sat the first three weeks with an injury. Backup quarterbacks have been hurt over the first six weeks, though Jacob Knuth is off the injury report. Dillon Duff, listed as a game-time decision before the last two games, dressed in both. Again, he's listed as questionable.
Kansas' list has been much longer. The Jayhawks had 10 players held out of their loss at Utah this past weekend. Wide receiver Keaton Kubecka and defensive back Syeed Gibbs are listed as doubtful. Kubecka played seven snaps last week after starting in the Jayhawks' first four games. Gibbs played 17 defensive snaps against the Utes.
