Craig Ingram (Matthew James Bailey) manipulated Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) into taking the blame for sending intimate photos of Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) in EastEnders – and then resolved to get his hands on her money!
The former detective, who was fired from the police force after a series of complaints, has been grooming teen Amy, who is unaware of the danger he poses to her.
Earlier this week, Craig leaked photographs of Denzel to his family, despite having already succeeded in getting a grand in cash out of him.
Amy was appalled and, with Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) now in the know about Denzel’s ordeal, she feared that it was only a matter of time before the walls closed in on Craig.
In a bid to avoid implication, Craig suggested that Amy take the blame for the photographs, knowing Jack would protect her. Horrified at first, Amy was ultimately manipulated into doing just that by Craig, who claimed that he would need to flee if she failed to do so.
Not wanting that to happen, Amy devastatingly claimed that she was the culprit who leaked the pics, leaving Jack and Denzel utterly appalled at the level of such cruelty.
Despite her efforts, Craig claimed that he would still need to get out of Walford and made steps to leave – that is, until Amy mentioned her inheritance.
Intrigued by such a thing, he listened carefully as Amy stated that she would find a way to access it early – and then they can run away together.
But just what will happen? Well, we’ve got some spoilers for you on that front.
What happens next in EastEnders? New spoilers for Wednesday, October 21
The fallout of tonight’s episode will most certainly continue into the next, with Amy on a mission to find a way to access her money early.
The question is: will she succeed?
And will Craig get his hands on it? What’s more, will he follow through with their plan and run away together?
Or can Jack, who is already starting to grow suspicious of his daughter’s change in behaviour, come to realise that her new man is the cause for everything? And if so, will some digging lead him to realise that Craig is the culprit?
We’ll just have to wait and see but Jack remains at odds with his daughter.
Elsewhere, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) reveals what she found on Max’s (Jake Wood) laptop and urges Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) not to trust her dad. While viewing No. 31, Max is confronted by Cindy and Lauren who reveal all about his New Zeland property, which undermines his attempts to buy the local house. Max declares war on Cindy in retaliation.
Later, Cindy learns of Kat’s (Jessie Wallace) revenge plan against the man who left Zoe while Max asks for Oscar’s help in proving that his marriage with Cindy was never consummated. The drinks later flow between Oscar and Cindy.
Elsewhere, Lauren spends time with Mark Fowler Jr (Stephen Aaron-Sipple), who pulls away after spotting Ned (Jamie Bamber) and Ryder (Felix Uff), with the guilt of last week’s actions weighing heavily upon him.
EastEnders airs these scenes Wednesday October 21 at 7:30pm on BBC One or stream from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
