The Grammy winner’s first foray into interior design encourages quality time with loved ones through art-inspired furniture and decor

When it comes to designing your first furniture collection with CB2, appearing on the cover of Architectural Digest and owning an iconic home—like Wallace E. Cunningham’s Razor House—certainly give you an edge. While creating the Casa Dean by Swizz Beatz line, which launched today, Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean, the Grammy-winning producer behind some of Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Drake’s biggest records, found that music and design flex the same artistic muscles. The line explores family-friendly home design through a creative lens—with art-inspired upholstery, lighting, wall decor, rugs, and glassware that all encourage quality time with loved ones. “My goal for the collection was to bring families together, which is why I named it after my family,” says Dean. “I wanted to design what I thought was the creative home for all creatives—no matter what medium you choose.”

The bubble-stemmed glasses are another standout to the producer and artist. “I imagined these pieces as sculptures, so whether you’re using or viewing them, they always feel like art.”

Courtesy of CB2Developed with Evan Jerry, founder of Studio ANANSI and a member of CB2’s Designer Collective, the line is saturated in earth tones, curved edges, and luxurious textures. Think contemporary, channel-tufted sectionals in olive green velvet, egg-shaped swivel chairs in fluffy taupe shearling, and playful drinkware in smokey glass. “There’s a beautiful tension between bold, sculptural silhouettes and softer, more tactile materials,” says Andrea Erman, CB2’s senior director of design and product development. “The rich browns, warm ivories, bronze accents, and unexpected touches of color give everything a sense of warmth and sophistication.”

Dean’s penchant for art collecting (his private holdings were on display at the Brooklyn Museum in 2024) is represented by a selection of commissioned paintings by the artist Megan Gabrielle.
Courtesy of CB2At the same time, personal details are woven throughout the collection. Deep green leather—which covers the Brainstorm Chair and accents the mappa burl wood Lam-Louie DJ Console (because of course there’s a DJ console)—is a nod to Dean’s favorite hue, British Racing Green. “I love that color on any car, furniture—I’d even paint the outside of a home with it,” he says. “I feel it represents timelessness, elegance, and class.”
And while expansive—featuring over 100 furniture and decor items—cohesion is apparent throughout the collection. The oxblood enamel hexagonal coffee table pairs well with both the dark taupe or the warm white New Zealand wool rugs—a testament to Dean’s intuitive creative direction. “Music is art, designing is art, so I used the same side of my brain I would use to make music, the medium was just different” he shares. “One is a sonic installation and the other is a visual and physical installation, they coexist like brother and sister.”
The Casa Dean by Swizz Beatz collection is available for purchase at CB2 starting today.
