SUNGAI BULOH: Sungai Buloh member of parliament Datuk Seri Ramanan Ramakrishnan considers his position in the constituency "safe", driven by strong support from residents.
Ramanan, who is also the human resources minister, said he has done his best in fulfilling his responsibilities as an MP and will continue striving to enhance his performance to meet the community's expectations.
"For me, I have done the best I can. I am still doing the best I can, and I will continue to do even better if possible," he told reporters after officiating the Sungai Buloh Madani Kita programme at Kota Damansara today.
The PKR vice-president said his secure standing is reflected in the enthusiastic turnouts at various community programmes organised in the area.
He noted that today's event drew over 1,000 visitors, offering a positive indicator of how residents view ongoing grassroots initiatives.
"Looking at what happened today, I feel this is a very comfortable journey based on the support received from the residents here," he said.
Ramanan said the event was held as an open session without participant filtering or preset questions, allowing residents to freely air grievances and raise longstanding issues.
"Various local matters were brought up, including a drainage problem that has reportedly gone unresolved since 2015. We will find the best approach to resolve these issues promptly," he added.
