Lwandle Mseleku has sent social media into a frenzy after a newly released teaser for Izingane Zesthembu showed him announcing his engagement to Khwezi Mazibuko, the mother of his child, while paternity questions around their newborn remain unresolved.
The teaser, posted on 18 October 2026, captured what appeared to be a sit-down between Lwandle, his father Musa Mseleku, and his mother MaCele. During the conversation, Musa prompted his son to share his news with his mother, at which point Lwandle revealed he had popped the question while away on a trip.
"I proposed on the trip, Ma," he told her.
The announcement was not met with the warmth one might expect. MaCele's response cut straight to the heart of the family's concerns about Khwezi, referencing the allegations that have swirled around the relationship.
"You went and proposed to Khwezi? The one who had a child with another man while you were with her?" she asked.
Her unfiltered reaction quickly became the talking point of the teaser, with fans applauding her for saying what many viewers had been thinking.

Paternity questions and love potion claims
The drama surrounding Lwandle and Khwezi has been building for some time. After Khwezi gave birth, doubts about the baby's paternity led Lwandle and the child to undergo DNA testing. The results later revealed that he was not the child's biological father.
Adding another layer to the saga, Khwezi recently found herself having to deny allegations that she had used a love potion on Lwandle, a claim that further fuelled speculation about the nature of their relationship.
Despite all of this, Lwandle's decision to move forward with a proposal has split viewers, with some questioning his judgment and others curious to see how the story unfolds as the season progresses.
