Long-range strike drones struck the “Omsky Kauchuk” chemical enterprise and industrial infrastructure in the Siberian city of Omsk – located more than 2,500 kilometers from Ukraine – igniting a major fire across the manufacturing complex, open-source intelligence monitors reported on Saturday, Oct. 24.
According to Ukrainian OSINT project Exilenova+, unmanned aerial vehicles penetrated deep into Russian airspace, potentially traveling over 3,000 kilometers (1,860 miles) to reach Omsk’s northern industrial hub.

The kinetic impacts sparked a large-scale fire across the production facilities of the chemical plant.
Omsk Region Governor Vitaly Khotsenko confirmed that air defense systems engaged aerial targets over the regional capital, stating that drones reached the northern industrial sector where major manufacturing complexes are concentrated. Khotsenko did not identify specific damaged enterprises in his official dispatch.
In addition to the chemical production plant, Exilenova+ reported that an Ozon e-commerce logistics hub in Omsk sustained damage during the aerial assault, while another unmanned platform struck a high-voltage electrical transmission tower in the municipality’s industrial perimeter.
Strategic chemical output and missile propellant components
The Omsky Kauchuk plant, a subsidiary of the Titan Group, functions as one of the Russian Federation’s primary petrochemical manufacturers, producing synthetic rubber, phenol, acetone, and organic chemical derivatives with an operating capacity of approximately 2,000 metric tons of output per day.

Beyond commercial rubber products, specialized synthetic polymers and chemical binders synthesized at the facility serve as critical raw materials in the production of solid rocket fuel.
Solid-propellant rocket motors utilizing such chemical binders are integrated into Russian strategic and theater missile platforms, including the 9M723 ballistic missiles of the Iskander-M system, alongside intercontinental ballistic missile systems such as the Topol-M and RS-24 Yars.
The strike marks one of the deepest recorded asymmetric aerial interdiction operations conducted against Russian defense-industrial supply networks since the beginning of the full-scale war.
Overnight drone impacts in Belgorod
Concurrently, Ukrainian strike drones engaged infrastructure in western Russia overnight into Sunday, Oct. 25, with detonations and debris falls reported in central Belgorod.
According to Exilenova+, incoming drones struck the MegaGRINN shopping and entertainment complex, a major commercial facility spanning approximately 163,000 square meters (1.7 million square feet) of housing more than 200 retail outlets, restaurants, and leisure venues.
The impact occurred overnight while the commercial center was closed to the public, preventing civilian visitor casualties, though blast waves shattered exterior glass facades and damaged passenger vehicles parked in adjacent residential lots.
The synchronized strikes on Omsk’s chemical production facilities and rear logistics hubs in Belgorod follow an expanding Ukrainian counter-infrastructure campaign targeting petrochemical suppliers, rocket propellant production nodes, and rear logistics nodes across Russia to degrade Moscow’s long-range strike capabilities.
Ukrainian Defense Forces struck key military-industrial facilities and an aviation base inside Russia overnight Friday-Saturday, confirming direct hits on the Proton-Elektroteks plant in Oryol, the Tolyattikauchuk industrial plant in Samara region, and an aircraft stationed at the Yeysk airfield, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
“Damage has been confirmed to the main production building of JSC Proton-Elektroteks in the city of Oryol, Oryol region of the Russian Federation,” the General Staff announced.
In the city of Tolyatti, located in Russia’s Samara region, Ukrainian units struck the Tolyattikauchuk chemical complex overnight into Saturday, Oct. 24, with military observers registering an explosion and a major industrial fire across the facility’s perimeter.
