KATHMANDU: Ramhari Khatiwada and Ajay Babu Shivakoti are maintaining their lead in the open category race for joint general secretary at the Nepali Congress’ 15th General Convention.
Nine candidates are contesting for the two positions available in the open category.
With 2,390 votes counted, Khatiwada has secured 1,075 votes, while Shivakoti is in second place with 772 votes.
Dilliram Subedi is third with 583 votes, followed by Devendra Raj Kandel with 499 votes.
Bikash Koirala has received 394 votes, while Rajiv Dhungana has secured 353.
Ramesh Prasad Dhamala has received 282 votes, Amrit Kumar Aryal has secured 257, and Bimal Raj Chhetri is in last place with 93 votes.
