— Laura
In this episode of Unchained Premium, Itai Turbahn, VP of Embedded Wallets at Fireblocks, joined Laura to talk about why many people using crypto wallets may not know it. Turbahn co-founded Dynamic, a wallet infrastructure company that is now part of Fireblocks.
The conversation covers how a Cash App transfer can land in a Western Union wallet in the Philippines over stablecoins, how Papaya Global pays contractors in Argentina in 10 seconds, and why USDT on Tron and BNB Chain dominates South America while US companies lean toward USDC.
Turbahn also lays out how multi-party computation splits keys into shares, and why he says most people should not care about quantum computing, even though Fireblocks thinks about it every day.
Three years ago, Fireblocks hoped to land one or two fintech customers. Today, Turbahn says, the reverse is true. What flipped? Listen to find out!
