KUALA LUMPUR: South Korean singer-actor Lee Junho has fallen head over heels for Malaysia's local dishes, revealing that nasi lemak and roti tisu topped his list of favourite treats during his visit here.
The 36-year-old star shared his delight at trying authentic local food, noting that the roti tisu stood out in particular due to its towering height and impressive size.
The Typhoon Family actor described sampling the crispy, paper-thin flatbread with a variety of dips as a uniquely fun experience.
"Yesterday, I had the chance to try nasi lemak and roti tisu. Both were extremely delicious. I am not sure why it is called roti tisu, but its towering height and sheer size really caught my eye.
"I had so much fun tearing it apart piece by piece starting from the top. It was quite a fascinating experience because I got to pair it with various sauces and toppings," he said during an exclusive media session held at TGV Cinemas, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, here today.
Junho added that he sampled the roti tisu alongside several dip choices, including curry, chocolate, and pistachio.
"I love pistachio, so I tried it with that. I also had it with condensed milk, and everything tasted amazing," he shared.
Beyond his food adventures, Junho expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the chance to perform for his Malaysian fans at the Cuckootopia concert, held at Stadium Merdeka yesterday.
He noted that the event marked a fresh milestone in his career.
It was his first time joining the Cuckootopia lineup, giving him a chance to reconnect with fans he had not seen in a long while.
"This was my first time taking part in the Cuckootopia concert, so it was a very enjoyable experience for me.
"I was so happy to see the fans yesterday. If given the opportunity to attend another concert like this in the future, I would be absolutely thrilled," he added.
Organised to celebrate Cuckoo's 12th Anniversary, and as a follow-up to Anugerah Melodi Terhangat (AMT) 2026, the Cuckootopia concert ran from 6pm until midnight.
The event featured Junho in his role as Cuckoo's Global Brand Ambassador, performing alongside local music icons including Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, rock outfit Hujan, and singer Firdhaus.
On his acting career, Junho also reflected on his participation in the second season of the reality show Kian's Bizarre B&B, describing the project as an exciting new challenge in his journey.
