Sri Lanka Railways has announced the temporary suspension of all train services between Rambukkana, Peradeniya and Gampola on October 24 and 25 due to adverse weather conditions.
The decision follows a landslide near Kadigamuwa Railway Station, where a mound of earth collapsed onto the railway track.
Emergency repairs will be carried out over the two days to clear the obstruction and restore the railway line.
Sri Lanka Railways said passengers who have already booked tickets for the affected dates can obtain a full refund from any railway station. (Newswire)
